This page documents the TextPipe registry settings that are required to interface to it. HKCU\SOFTWARE\Crystal Software\TextPipeshowTips0=disable tips, 1=show tips. Set this value to 0 to prevent the Tip of the Day window displaying. playSound0=no sound on filter completion, 1=play sound on filter completion. soundFileThe sound file (.wav) to play if playSound=1. isFirstDay0=this is not the first time TextPipe is run,1=if this is the first TextPipe is run. Set this value to 0 to prevent the help window displaying when TextPipe is run. updateDateGives the next date that TextPipe should check for an update. To disable the update check, set it way in the future with 41000 (i.e. after 2010). HKLM\SOFTWARE\Crystal Software\TextPiperootDirThis key tells you where TextPipe is installed. TextPipe has not been installed if this key does not exist. The value of this key is TextPipe's installation folder. It is NOT guaranteed to end in a backslash, so you may have to add one manually. TextPipeTypeTextPipe comes in a number of different versions. Use this value to detect which version of TextPipe is installed and only display appropriate options. Currently these settings are only used by askSam.
